Blow with a long, steady, continuous breath for 5-7 seconds. Some models may continue to beep while you're blowing into it.
The reading is only ready after you hear a double beep or feel a double click (depending on the model you own)
Common mistake would be to blow hard into the device and stopping before you hear the double beep/click.
