BodyCam 2 Driver Update

If your device is unable to connect to the software, it could possibly be that you might have installed an older driver and it would require an update.

 

First, check if you’re using the most recent software (version 3.2.1.0).  To check: 

1. Plug in the BodyCam to the USB port on the PC


2. In File Explorer, right click on “This PC” then  select “Properties”

 

3. Then select “Device Manager”

 

4. Locate “Ambarella device” and you should be able to see what version in your current software:

 

 

If you’re using an older software, please try the following steps to update the driver: 

1. With the BodyCam switched off, connect it to the PC. The BodyCam will come on, disregard what is shown on the screen. 

 

2. In File Explorer, right click This PC, select “Properties”

 

3. Then select “Device Manager”

 

4. Locate “Ambarella device”

 

5. Right click and choose Update Driver

 

6. Select “Browse my computer for driver software”

 

7. Select “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”

 

8. Select “Ambarella Evaluation Board 3.2.1.0”, then click Next 

 

9. Click Close to complete the update.  

 

After updating the driver, unplug the camera.

Restart the BodyCam software.

Then plug BodyCam into the USB port to connect the device.
